The fall in Yuma, AZ

I was pretty fortunate that my school medical school happened to have a new hospital affiliation out west when it did. Just a few months before I was to start my 3rd year rotations, Yuma Regional Medical Center (now Onvida Health) became one of the sites I could do my clinical rotations at. For a few months I was able to get out of New York and spend the fall months in the desert heat, which was a nice change of pace.

There’s something about the stark desert beauty and sunshine for days that brings a sort of peace that is uncommon to someone accustomed to the hustle and bustle of living in the NY metro area.
